Doctor Michael A. Uro was born and raised in Southern California. He graduated from the University of California at Riverside with a Bachelor of Arts degree in biochemistry. He obtained his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (D.P.M.) degree from the California College of Podiatric Medicine, San Francisco, in 1976. He then completed a one-year preceptorship in 1977 and a one-year surgical residency in 1978. He has been in private practice in Sacramento since 1978.

Dr. Uro has been a leader in his profession. He has served as Podiatry Chair of the surgery departments of Mercy General and Sutter General hospitals, where he continues to have surgical privileges. He has served as President and maintains active membership in the Sacramento Valley Podiatric Medical Society. He is a member of the California Podiatric Medical Association and the American Podiatric Medical Association. He has been an off-site clinician in the training of University of California at Davis family practice physicians.

History

Our first center was opened in October, 2008. We now have a total of three centers: two in the Bay Area and one in San Diego. More locations are coming soon!
